Q: What detection principle does the WTB4FP-21311120ZZZ use?
A: It is a background-suppression photoelectric proximity sensor. Objects within the teach-adjusted range are detected while brighter backgrounds behind the set threshold are suppressed behind the set threshold.
Q: How is the detection range set?
A: Use the Teach-Turn potentiometer together with the blue BluePilot indicator. The suppression threshold can be set from 15 mm to 220 mm; the sensor is preset at 120 mm and the best-performance window is 40 mm to 140 mm for a 90 % white reference object.
Q: How is the sensor connected?
A: Via a male M8 3-pin connector; pin 4 (black wire) carries the digital push-pull output Q. Supply range is 10 V DC to 30 V DC with reverse-polarity, overcurrent and short-circuit protection on the output.
