VW3A7747 Schneider Electric - Schneider Electric VW3A7747 Braking Resistor. The Schneider Electric VW3A7747 is a medium-cycle braking resistor designed for use with Altivar Process ATV900 variable speed drives. With a resistance of 2.5 Ohm and an average power rating of 11kW at 50 degrees C, this resistor effectively dissipates regenerative energy during motor braking. It features IP23 protection rating and includes thermal protection via a temperature control switch activated at 120 degrees C. The resistor is compatible with ATV930 wall-mount drives rated 110kW to 160kW at 380-480V.
Designed for Altivar ATV930 drives in medium-duty braking applications such as conveyors, fans, and pumps where regenerative energy must be safely dissipated during motor deceleration.
