The PM851AK01 is an ABB AC 800M processor unit for the System 800xA and AC 800M distributed control system. It is a complete processor module that includes the CPU board, power supply and a baseplate for mounting the CPU and two communication modules, delivered as an assembled unit.
As an 800xA hardware controller it executes ABB Control Builder applications and communicates with S800 I/O stations and higher-level system networks. The unit supports redundant power and communication configurations typical of continuous-process and critical-control applications, with Ethernet-based controller and client communication.
The PM851AK01 is a newer hardware revision of the AC 800M CPU platform and replaces previous PM8xx processor versions, maintaining compatibility with the 800xA software architecture. It mounts on a standard DIN rail in an industrial control cabinet and is rated for the extended conditions of process-industry environments.
