PM554-T AC500-eCo CPU

The PM554-T is a programmable logic controller CPU from ABB's AC500-eCo family, a compact PLC with on-board I/O designed for cost-sensitive automation of small machines and serial-network control architectures.

The CPU integrates 8 digital inputs and 6 transistor digital outputs (24 V DC, 0.5 A) directly on the device, offers a serial RS485 interface with Modbus RTU, an SD memory card slot for program/data storage, and runs an ARM 32-bit processor (Freescale) at 50 MHz with 128 kB Flash user memory. Supply is 24 V DC.

Programming follows the IEC 61131-3 standard in the ABB Automation Builder (PS501) environment, and the CPU can be expanded with S500-eCo I/O modules on its terminal unit. The '-T' variant denotes transistor outputs; the platform is documented in the PM55x/PM56x CPU data sheet published on ABB's library.
