Variant Identification — what “040N” means

ACS380-040N-09A4-4 is the Base variant (“N”). It ships without an I/O or fieldbus extension module: the drive body itself provides only 2 digital inputs (DI1–DI2), 1 changeover relay output (RO1), dual-channel STO and the +24 V auxiliary output. There are no analog inputs/outputs and no Modbus on the N unit — these are added by plug-in option modules (BMIO-01 = the “S” standard I/O & Modbus set; BIO-01 I/O extension; BREL-01 relays; fieldbus adapters).
