The B23 212-100 is a compact DIN-rail three-phase energy meter from the ABB "Bronze" B2x meter family, designed for commercial and residential building energy monitoring. It measures active and reactive energy on 3- or 4-wire systems and can be used in both import and export directions with separate registers and a total, supporting modern sub-metering and energy-management applications.
The meter is a transformer-connected (CT) version with a rated current of 5 A, operating on 3 x 220-240 V networks (working range 3 x 176-276 V) at 50/60 Hz. It features an easy-to-read backlit digital display with seven counter positions, up to 25 alarms, event logging and a broad set of instrumentation values. A single digital output can be configured for pulses or alarms, and an RS-485 port provides Modbus RTU or EQ Bus communication for integration into building automation and energy-monitoring systems.
Active energy measurement is accuracy class 1.0 (MID class B, approximately ±1%), and the meter is IEC approved and MID approved and verified. It occupies four module widths (70 mm) on a 35 mm DIN rail, is built to IEC 62053-23, and offers IP20 protection over an operating range of -40 to +70 °C.
