ABB MA 80 Magnetic-Only Release for Tmax XT2

The MA 80 is a three-pole magnetic-only trip release for the ABB SACE Tmax XT2 molded case circuit breaker, designed for motor-protection applications where overload protection is provided separately by a motor controller or protection relay.

Rated at 80 A for AC/DC circuits, the magnetic threshold I3 is adjustable between 480 and 1120 A, allowing the instantaneous short-circuit trip to be set to coordinate with motor starting currents and downstream protection devices.

The release is installed inside the XT2 breaker frame, is supplied as a loose/configurable accessory and is designed according to IEC 60947-2.
